The Open Compute Project Foundation (OCP) announced today that Singapore-based Princeton Digital Group (PDG) has achieved OCP Ready™ certification for their Singapore facility. PDG, an OCP Community Member, is the first data center in Singapore to receive this certification and showcases the region’s growing interest in facilities that are optimized for OCP hardware designs.

Interest in the Open Compute Project across the region is gaining momentum and it’s increasingly important to have data center operators who understand the fundamental requirements to deploy OCP hardware into their IT space.  End users can benefit from the efficiencies, scale and openness of OCP hardware within a facility specifically designed for the new generation of IT infrastructure.

By achieving OCP Ready™ certification, PDG’s Singapore SG1 facility meets requirements set forth and approved by the OCP Data Center Facilities Project. PDG also qualifies as an OCP Colo Solution Provider, which is a program within OCP designated for those resellers of OCP solutions and services who exhibit strong technical and delivery capabilities.

“On behalf of the entire team at OCP I would like to welcome PDG to the OCP Community and congratulate them on becoming the first OCP Ready™ facility in Singapore. The team at PDG in Singapore have shown a strong commitment to the OCP Community. Their OCP Ready™ facility will be a key foundational element to the growth of OCP across Singapore as more enterprise companies look for highly efficient data centers that are optimized for OCP hardware. The team truly understands and embraces the benefits of working within an open community. OCP is planning many collaborative efforts with PDG in the coming months so this is just the beginning of a great partnership.” States Steve Helvie, VP of Channel Development for OCP.

“In the everchanging IT landscape, there is a need to support increasingly diverse set ups for hyperscalers and enterprises. With the more efficient OCP solutions currently being developed, PDG is proud to be the first data center in Singapore to be certified as OCP Ready™.

As a recognized OCP Colo Solution Provider™, PDG looks forward to engaging and facilitating the sharing of open-sourced designs in a facility optimized for OCP hardware.” stated Asher Ling, Managing Director, Singapore for PDG.
